Job Description:

We're on the hunt for a passionate, experienced Barista who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to delivering excellent specialty coffee and outstanding customer service. Responsibilities:

• Quickly and efficiently prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
• Deeply understand our products in order to confidently educate customers, make personalized recommendations, and upsell as appropriate.
• Build relationships with customers in our bustling shop, learning their preferences to encourage returning patrons.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and workstations, while adhering to all health and safety regulations, even during peak hours.
• Cooperate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow, providing superior customer service even during high-traffic periods.
• Contribute ideas to enhance our products, service, and overall coffee shop ambiance, balancing creativity with efficiency.
• Handle cash register and POS system, processing transactions accurately and swiftly.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role in hospitality. 2 years of hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of various coffee types and brewing procedures. Barista training certification is a plus.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to educate and upsell our products to our diverse customer base.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships in a fast-paced setting.
• Detail-oriented and resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills to manage the dynamic workflow.
• Flexibility to work in various shifts, including Sundays and holidays.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Located in the popular 12th South district, there’s a little something for everyone at the Ranch: our small batch bakery where everything is made from scratch, a quick service counter for on-the-go guests, and a full service dining room for those who want to have a drink and stay a little while.
