Middleware Specialist performs design, development, installation, tuning, and maintenance of middleware applications. Provisions platforms and infrastructure with middleware solutions. Being a Middleware Specialist analyzes requirements to implement effective middleware architecture, resolve technical issues, and optimize performance. Defines and documents technical designs and system configurations. Additionally, Middleware Specialist coordinates with application development and cross-functional technical teams to enable and support middleware integrations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Middleware Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Job Summary
Preview Specialists are hired to assist with moving Preview students and their guests smoothly through their Preview days.
These student staff positions interact with both new students and their guests by assisting with check-in procedures, offering directions around campus, and being available to assist Preview staff members with various campus errands and office tasks.
Specialists also organize all files needed for check-in during each Preview program and staff the Orientation and Training Office.
Additional Information
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Assist in the preparation of Preview activities and materials
- Assist the Preview Guides in welcoming new students and families to campus during Preview by staffing check-in, family sessions, and lunches as needed
- Help students and families acclimate to the physical campus by providing directions and leading them to sessions around campus
- Proactively provide customer service to guests throughout Preview
- Share knowledge about the University's history, campus resources, and expectations and when appropriate, refer guests to additional resources and campus departments
Pay Rate
$15.00 / hour
