    Role Overview:
    The Middleware Manager will play a crucial role in leading and managing the middleware development team to design, develop, implement, and maintain middleware solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. Reporting directly to the Director of Software Development, the Middleware Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire middleware development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, while ensuring adherence to industry best practices and standards.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership and Team Management:
      • Lead and mentor a team of middleware developers, providing guidance, support, and direction to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
      • Define team goals and objectives, establish clear expectations, and ensure alignment with overall organizational objectives.
      • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development and growth within the team.
    • Middleware Development and Implementation:
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, architects, and project managers, to define middleware requirements and design scalable, reliable, and secure middleware solutions.
      • Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of middleware components, ensuring adherence to coding standards, architectural guidelines, and quality assurance processes.
      • Monitor middleware performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability.
    • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
      • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations related to middleware development projects.
      • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the middleware development team and other departments, ensuring alignment with project timelines, deliverables, and objectives.
    • Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
      • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in middleware development, and evaluate their potential impact on our middleware solutions.
      • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the middleware development team, identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency gains.
      • Encourage a culture of innovation and creativity within the team, fostering the exploration of new ideas and approaches to solve complex middleware challenges.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in middleware development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
    • Strong technical expertise in middleware technologies, such as message-oriented middleware (MOM), enterprise service bus (ESB), and application integration platforms.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C , as well as experience with middleware frameworks and protocols (e.g., JMS, REST, SOAP).
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proven track record of delivering high-quality middleware solutions on time and within budget, with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
