Middleware Engineer performs design, development, installation, tuning, and maintenance of middleware applications. Provisions platforms and infrastructure with middleware solutions. Being a Middleware Engineer analyzes requirements to implement effective middleware architecture, resolve technical issues, and optimize performance. Defines and documents technical designs and system configurations. Additionally, Middleware Engineer coordinates with application development and cross-functional technical teams to enable and support middleware integrations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Middleware Engineer works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.     Our Opportunity
    North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Facility based in Paris, IL The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning, designing, and implementing assembly process to ensure new product designs can be manufacture.

    Your Priorities

    • While working within the fast paced, automotive environment, you will provide day to day technical support for the assembly process in our plant
    • Maximize efficiency by analyzing assembly line layouts, workflow, assembly methods, change- over-fixturing, gauges, work-in-process storage, and tool storage.
    • Develop advanced product quality planning (APQP) requirements, including process failure mode and effect analysis, process flow charts, and process design sheets
    • Identify process equipment load requirements, tooling and equipment requirements, and the need to implement new processes, and communicates to all appropriate team members
    • Address internal and external customer complaints, conducts investigations, develops root cause analysis, determines countermeasures, and documents- using NAL problem solving method.

    Your Background

    Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, plus 0 to 2 years or related engineering experience.

    Technical understanding of statistics, inspection, testing, dimensional layouts, specifications interpretation, and report writing in a manufacturing environment.
