Performs loan portfolio tracking and generates reports to measure compliance with lending terms and policies. - CLASS DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the Principal and/or Designee the Library Media Specialist will include the daily management of library media center routines as well as the evaluation and selection of library media materials, ordering, circulation, management of instructional equipment and teaching classes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Establish procedures for selection, acquisition, circulation, resource sharing of material in all formats all while promoting the ethical use of information, copyright, fair use, and licensing of intellectual property. 2.Work with faculty and students to integrate the use of technology devices in daily learning, use of the Media Center itself, all technology, and research skills into classroom curriculum and projects. 3.Teach library media classes to students in all grades. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: ?Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and request assistance when needed. ?Must take initiative to solve problems proactively and work independently on tasks. ?Must respond ethically, professionally and respectfully as needed to difficult situations. ?Must be able to manage time effectively and follow through on assigned tasks accurately. ?Maintain professional demeanor regardless of internal or external concerns. ?Must meet the requirements of the State Board of Regents for certification in his/her area of instruction MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience ?RI Library Media Certification required ?Excellent oral and written communication skills ?Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving skills ?Strong presentation and facilitation skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
