Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented microbiologist to join our team in the nutraceutical industry. As a microbiologist you will be conducting microbiological tests to ensure the safety of our products. You will work closely with a team of scientists to identify and mitigate potential risks related to microbial contamination while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong background in microbiology and exceptional analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbial testing on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products following USP and FDA regulations
• Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment while following GLPs
• Conduct routine verification and quality control testing of laboratory equipment and media
• Conduct routine environmental monitoring of manufacturing facilities
• Participate in microbiological investigations to determine causation of microbial contamination
• Maintain accurate and up to date documentation and reports related to microbiological analyses and investigations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or related life science
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and basic knowledge of microbiological concepts
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively or independently in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• In-depth knowledge of microbial testing techniques, such as microbial identification and sterility testing
• Experience with cGMPs and GLPs
• Familiarity with USP and FDA BAM methodologies
