Job Summary
Avient is very active in the M&A market, having acquired 15 businesses and divested 4 in the past 10 years. We are currently looking for an intelligent Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing new markets and potential acquisitions, and will participate throughout the entire M&A process from deal-sourcing to closing. You will be able to collaborate on executive presentations, engage in due-diligence activities, construct financial models, and actively communicate with cross-functional departments to ensure each transaction's success. This role is critical to Avient's long-term growth strategy and a thrilling opportunity for you to receive significant exposure, experience and advance your career with our global organization. Essential Functions
* Conducting research on prospective firms & markets and preparing customized presentations about business-fit with Avient & long-term growth potential
* Tracking & participating in target outreach
* Leading the preparation of financial models (acquisition projections, valuation models, pro forma analyses, etc.)
* Coordinating due-diligence activities across functional departments
* Occasional travel to acquisition locations
* Other strategic ad hoc assignments
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
* Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related quantitative field
* Open to recent graduates or candidates with 1-3 years of experience
