Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst compiles and analyzes data required for merger, acquisition, and divestiture projects. Performs integrated revenue/expense analysis. Being a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst develops projections, reports, and presentations of the impact of a merger/acquisition on the organization. Performs financial forecasting and modeling. Additionally, Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst prepares required documentation. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings. Assists with project management activities. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Assists with all information and tasks concerning new store acquisitions and Integration. Directly assists acquisition integration and disaster project manager, related VP’s and Directors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Build relationships and provide direct communications with sellers of new acquisition targets from contract to closing.
Receive and organize all data from potential store acquisition for distribution to all necessary O’Reilly Departments and the Acquisition Committee.
Assist in preparing the transaction of funds to sellers.
Create and distribute project timelines to leadership. Track, update and follow-up on assigned tasks weekly.
On site for physical inventories, produce and organize inventory pages, key computer corrections, verify all inventory is complete and assist with store installation.
Handle necessary arrangements, including coordinating travel with the Travel Department (i.e. flights, vehicles, hotels) for team members traveling on Store Acquisitions
Maintain master file and signed documents on all ongoing, and completed acquisitions. Report final numbers to Finance Department for tracking.
Research and prepare new prospect and market information to streamline initial contact and for VP’s analysis.
Assist with calendars, travel, and arrange meetings for Vice Presidents, Directors and Project Manager as necessary.
Track / code corporate credit cards, expense reports, gas cards, and invoices of Acquisitions Department and International for VP Approval.
Effective distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, email and phones calls/messages.
Travel on Acquisition Trips
Serve on Acquisition Committee.
Maintain confidentiality of Acquisition information
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Strong communication skills
Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed
Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
