Merchant Card Customer Service Representative provides merchant bank card services to existing and new clients and acts as contact point for all merchant inquires. Responds to questions, researches and troubleshoots issues, processes billing and adjustment transactions. Being a Merchant Card Customer Service Representative assists with the set up and maintenance of services and processing systems including supplies and advertising collateral. Communicates new service offerings or changes to the clients. Additionally, Merchant Card Customer Service Representative may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Merchant Card Customer Service Representative gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. To be a Merchant Card Customer Service Representative typically requires 1-3 years of related experience or may have 0 years of experience with additional training, or certification.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Greet all visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Book and schedule jobs on the dispatch board.
    • Answer outbound calls to schedule or renew contracts.
    • Escalate customer concerns and complaints to proper team members or management.
    • Follow through with the customer and ensure their needs have been adequately met.
    • Keep the reception area and showroom neat, clean, and organized.
    • Maintain customer database entries and accuracy.
    • Respond to messages left on the answering machine daily.
    • Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma / GED required
    • Minimum of 1 year performing job duties in a similar role
    • Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written formats to a variety of internal and external audiences.
    • Ability to flex and demonstrate both teamwork skills and the ability to take initiative to accomplish assigned tasks independently.
    • Problem Solving approach to utilize current knowledge for resolution of issues and awareness of when concerns need to be escalated to subject matter experts within the business for follow up.
    • Demonstration of time management to handle multiple tasks and prioritize activities for timely and efficient completion of work.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy for capturing and tracking required information in a fast paced environment.
    • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft office.
    • Basic knowledge of Service Titan software is a plus.
