Merchant Card Customer Service Manager manages a team of merchant card customer service representatives. Establishes service standards and monitoring processes to identify and resolve performance issues with team or service systems and procedures. Being a Merchant Card Customer Service Manager provides development and training that ensure the team is prepared to provide efficient service. Coordinates with other internal functions to provide any technical or other services that are needed.     We are hiring a talented and driven Customer Service Specialist ! This is a hybrid position three days in the office, two days’ work from home.

    Customer Service Specialist Job Duties :

    • Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities
    • Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
    • Place purchase orders with vendors
    • Confirm and verify order information, pricing, product descriptions, item numbers and freight terms
    • Document all customer engagement in ERP system
    • Utilize Microsoft Excel heavily to run reports (VLOOKUPS)
    • Coordinate with Shipping Department on all freight quotes, import / export documentation and customs compliance
    • Stay up to date on industry trends and new products
    • Monitor order expenses
    • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
    • Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation
    • Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues
    • Recommend new processes or systems for improvement; implement new ideas and strategies

    Customer Service Specialist Requirements :

    • Associates / bachelor ’s degree preferred, not required
    • Minimum of one year experience working in a customer service / vendor / order management role
    • Experience working in a ERP system preferred
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport building
