Merchandise Planner - Produce jobs in Greenville, SC

Vertiv is hiring a Materials Planner in Anderson, SC who will forecast material requirements; oversee the planning, procurement requests, receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials and products according to manufacturing needs.  

Responsibilities

• Determines material requirements based on manufacturing plan and historical data  
• Schedules, Requests (in coordination with Purchasing) and monitors inbound movement of materials toward planned inventory levels 
• Implements materials inventory control i.e. materials receiving and storage.   
• Ensures timely delivery of required materials to manufacturing lines. 
• Develops and updates specifications for new material orders in coordination with Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing  
• Maintain PFEP by monthly review
• Perform problem solving material flow and make needed PFEP adjustments to planning parameters
• Confirm buy part SSD acknowledgement based on system recommendations (ATP) 

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in materials planning for a manufacturing environment
• Excellent organizational, statistical analysis and planning skills. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with plant level of management and staff. 
• Proficient with inventory reporting systems implementation e.g. MRP, BOM, SIOP, etc. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. 

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required. 

Travel:  10%
