We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President of Supply Chain to join our team. As the Vice President of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, production planning, and logistics. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing our supply chain processes and driving operational efficiency.
Duties:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives
- Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships
- Lead inventory control efforts to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop production plans that meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address supply chain issues and bottlenecks
- Utilize data analytics tools such as Tableau to monitor key performance indicators and make data-driven decisions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience in a senior supply chain leadership role, preferably as a Vice President or Director
- Strong knowledge of fabricate/buy decision-making processes
- Expertise in inventory control methodologies and techniques
- Demonstrated experience in production planning and capacity management
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and methodologies
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop actionable solutions
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
