TITLE: BUYER

This is a fulltime, on-site exempt salaried position. SALARY RANGE IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE LEVEL!

Previous Generic Pharma or Pharma experience a plus!

Essential Duties

• Manage purchasing & replenishment of excipients, components & printed materials.
• Select sources based upon approved vendor lists.
• Ensure that suppliers understand our product specifications, coordinate supplier qualification.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Participate in approving new vendors through sourcing activities to achieve better supply & lower expenses.
• Negotiate for best costs & observe quality of purchased materials.
• Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.

Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3-5 years experience as a Buyer.

• Advanced-level technical writing skills and excellent detail orientation skills to develop and revise SOPs for equipment operation and upkeep
• Must be tech-savvy to troubleshoot equipment
• Excellent proficiency of MS Excel. Knowledge of QAD
• Good negotiation skills and business management knowledge
• Ability to work professionally & ethically within the company and with suppliers
• Accuracy & speed in computer entry and navigation
• Strong organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to solve problems with sense of urgency.
