Job Summary
Provides analytical and data collect support for the North America Supply Chain Team. Participates in the strategic purchasing process for fresh produce, import products, desserts, cleaning supplies, and energy/waste service management.
Job Responsibilities
Manage effectively a network of supply partners who are responsible for $90MM in product purchased for PJ Food Service Quality Control Centers.
Perform market and logistical analysis to formulate and execute efficient purchasing strategies.
Prepare for and participate in supplier meetings, followed by written recap/action item documentation and communication
Analyze and evaluate suppliers bid and proposals, negotiate prices and commit to purchases
Drive cost savings through continuous improvement activities
Resolve any discrepancies with quantity, delivery, cost and quality
Collect and organize commodity market data; identify and interpret applicable trends; analyze impacts on supply costs; and develop reports to communicate to SCM Team
Assist in the development, execution, and maintenance of contracts and document contract information
