ATI is seeking a Senior Buyer to join our Millersburg, Oregon facility. We are a manufacturer of technically advanced specialty materials and complex components. Our products support diverse markets and industries such as aerospace. defense, oil & gas, electrical energy, medical, automotive, and other industrial markets. This is a day shift position and will typically work Monday – Friday and will report to the Procurement Director.
The Senior Buyer is responsible for managing and strategically directing the procurement activities primarily associated with capital equipment and other process/manufacturing supplies for all operations at Specialty Alloys & Components. This is a senior level role, intended to help create, document, and deploy best supply chain practices in a production environment. You will need to be comfortable negotiating terms and conditions, overseeing capital vendor relationships and working with internal customers and external suppliers. Responsible for daily interaction with vendors both domestic and abroad, with technical knowledge and understanding of equipment requirements to ensure the alignment with the organization's needs.
In order to be successful, you will have to quickly learn ATI’s processes, have exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), and not be afraid to take ownership of processes. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and being a driven self-starter are included in the skillset of a successful Senior Buyer.
