Reviews success of previous orders to determine extent to which inventory should be replenished. Being a Merchandise Buyer researches new trends or advances in product lines to make appropriate buying decisions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Merchandise Buyer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Merchandise Buyer typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Key Responsibilities of the Merchandise Clerk:

- Assists with rotating stock, keeping displays clean and orderly and creating appealing displays.
Minimum Qualifications for the Merchandise Clerk:- High school diploma or GED; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other qualifications:- Computer skills such as Point of Sales (POS) systems, inventory, Microsoft Office including excel is required.
- Ability to multi-task - answer phones, greet members and answer questions and place orders.
