Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Buyer to join our team. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, products, and services needed for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, contract management, and negotiation skills.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products
- Analyze market trends and conditions to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements
- Create purchase orders and manage the procurement process from start to finish
- Conduct research to identify potential cost savings opportunities
- Implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency and reduce costs
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that arise
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role
- Aerospace experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and procurement processes
- Familiarity with quality management principles and practices
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Proficient in production planning and inventory management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Experience in contract management and vendor relationship management
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
