Assists in the evaluation of goods and services by analyzing competitor pricing strategies, researching trends and tracking orders. Ensures all products are received in condition consistent with original request or bid and resolves issues concerning materials and/or services at the department and vendor level. Coordinates returns and/or replacement of products and generates appropriate paperwork for inventory tracking and accounting purposes. Addresses customer service concerns from suppliers, field operations, and cross-functional departments Assists operations with sourcing specialty items, freight/carrier information, order status, and timely processing of orders. Maintains department files including those pertaining to vendors, bids, quotes, and other correspondence   Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field One (1) year purchasing experience Or equivalent combination of education and experience What You Can Bring to the Team:   Knowledge of material management and procurement function Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrate general understanding of inventory planning tools, ERP purchase to pay requirements, supply chain inventory planning concepts, inventory rebalancing to meet company inventory plans, and net working capital objectives Skill in establishing and maintain effective working relationships Good negotiating skills Ability to compose effective and efficient accounting reports Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP System, and inventory planning tools   Work Environment / Physical Activity:   Subject to both typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds. Occasional travel by car or plane may be required.
