Merchandise Buyer Assistant, Sr. jobs in Melbourne, FL

This is a full time/ non-exempt position. Schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday- Friday, 8am- 5pm.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Handle administrative duties related to day to day operations
• Support the buyer and assist buying staff when necessary
• Handle data entry and paper flow
• Communicate effectively with vendors, store management and other divisions within the corporate office
• Develop an understanding of all aspects of the buying function
• Assist buyer in planning and product selection when necessary
• Assist buyer with vendor and store visits

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

• Must be well organized and able to multi task
• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong math, analytical skills
• Strong computer skills, both internal system and PC based
• Must be a team player, able to work with others
• 18 years or older.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
