Merchandise Buyer Assistant, Sr. assists merchandise buyers in selecting merchandise, placing orders, and distributing inventory. Responsible for inventory replenishment with open-to-buy responsibilities over a segment of the buyer's department. Being a Merchandise Buyer Assistant, Sr. may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Merchandise Buyer Assistant, Sr. typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Sr. Buyer is responsible for strategic sourcing selection and procurement functions directly associated with DDCs needs for materials, capital equipment and services. He/she will be responsible for driving competitive supply strategies to achieve lowest total cost, sole/single source elimination and managing suppliers to ensure supply continuity. The buyer is instrumental in helping DDC achieve its annual revenue, profitability and productivity goals. He/she will report directly to the Supply Chain Director.
This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a department of state or commercial license.
The salary range for this role is $80,000-$95,000.
