Merchandise Allocator allocates merchandise to stores according to warehouse and store inventory levels. Will assist stores with merchandise transfers to fulfill stock needs. Being a Merchandise Allocator may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Merchandise Allocator typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. The Merchandise Lead takes ownership of the sales performance and visual standards of assigned departments within the store. Works on the sales floor before, during, and after business hours to ensure that all assigned departments are always neat, clean, organized. This position also ensures that marketing/merchandising standards are achieved consistent with company standards.
Supports the implementation of merchandise presentation plans and priorities, ensuring processed product is timely merchandised, for all assigned departments.
Ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, always modeling excellent customer service standards.
Leads the implementation of product, marketing, and cleanliness standards for assigned departments, and maintains awareness of overall store cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.
Participates in department walks with store leadership to identify strengths and opportunities.
Assists in the implementation of short-term action plans in support in long term store strategies.
Ensure service and merchandising standards are always met throughout departments to support a store environment that builds customer loyalty.
Partners with leadership team to support Asset Protection knowledge, execution, and awareness.
Drives sales and department performance through merchandising, marketing, and overall organization.
Support effective teaching, motivating, feedback, and recognition of associates.
Serves as a mentor to new crew members.
Collaborates with store leadership to ensure markdowns are executed properly and remerchandised to standards in a timely manner.
Identifies merchandising successes and opportunities and communicates suggestions and solutions to the store leadership.
Communicates effectively with associates and managers to ensure efficient workflow.
This position may lead the work of other associates within their department(s) but does not have full supervision over any associates. Reports to the Store Manager and works collaboratively with other associates and store leadership.
