Location: Columbia, SC
Hours: Full-Time. 40 hours/week
SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Under supervision provide behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff or identified by
prescreening through booking process or nursing services.- Under supervision provide individual and/or group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions.
- Assist custody and medical staff in the monitoring of behavioral health for referred detainees.
- Coordinate with custody and medical staff in the management and treatment of detainees with behavioral
health concerns.- Monitor and assess therapeutic support of segregated and isolated detainees.
- Support and supplement the activities of county behavioral health services in the stabilization of at-risk
detainees.- Coordinate with county behavioral health services for continuity of care and discharge planning via sharing of
pertinent patient information.- Complete documentation as well as maintain records for referral tracking and continuous quality improvement
(CQI) under supervision.- Demonstrate commitment and dedication to providing behavioral health support and provide training to solve
problems and make lives easier.- Perform all other duties as assigned.
TRAINING EXPECTATIONS:Associates in this role are expected, as a condition of employment, to complete all training assigned within a reasonabletime, generally within less than 15 days. This role includes the following training requirements:- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or CPR certification
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:This position is scheduled based on operational need and may include rotational shifts, standby, as assigned, and on-callwork. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, etc.) required.
- Current licensure with clinical specialty from the appropriate state licensing board preferred.
- 5 years of experience preferred.
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle.
