Mental Health Clinician (LCSW/PCC) provides clinical mental health counseling and case management services to patients. Conducts patient assessments, coordinates services, and provides individual therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes. Being a Mental Health Clinician (LCSW/PCC) coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement a holistic treatment plan. Requires a master's degree in psychology or equivalent. Additionally, Mental Health Clinician (LCSW/PCC) requires certification as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Typically reports to a manager. Mental Health Clinician (LCSW/PCC)'s years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Our clinicians specialize in working with clients who present with depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, family discord, and identity concerns.  We ensure that our clients have a safe space in which they can heal, grow, and become empowered.


    As a member of the team therapists enjoy flexible schedules, receive responsive administrative support, and become credentialed with the major insurance companies accepted at the practice. Documentation within the agency has been streamlined with the use of an established EHR system. During the pandemic all mental health counseling services are provided remotely through an easy to use telehealth platform. This position provides in-person therapeutic services to clients in a fully furnished office.  


    Job Duties:

    • Positively engage with clients
    • Provide individual, family, and group counseling services
    • Complete comprehensive initial assessments
    • Create and maintain objectives and goals for treatment
    • Work collaboratively with other mental health clinicians in the agency
    • Engage in staff meetings and trainings
    • Maintain accurate and up to date clinical documentation in the EMR
    • Compliance with all administrative and clinical policies and procedures

    • Demonstrate an ability to work with minimum supervision
    • Have at least 1 year of experience providing direct mental health individual, family, or group counseling services.
    • Have experience treating co-occurring populations

    Requirements:

    • Have completed a minimum of a master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
    • Hold a valid Maryland professional license: LCPC/LGPC/LCMFT (Required)
    • Valid driver's license
    • Will need to be in person at the office at least 2 days per week
    • Satisfactorily complete a criminal background check
