Men's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's men's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire men's coaching staff. Being a Men's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Men's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Men's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Men's Athletics Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Position Summary:
The Senior Aquatics Director develops, organizes, and implements high-quality YMCA aquatics programs. Responsible for planning, development, fiscal management, administration of complete YMCA swim program. The position will oversee all aspects of the Aquatics department including: supervision of indoor pool, along with hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating programs, expanding and delivering high quality swim lessons, swim teams, lap and recreational swimming, and safety and risk management. The Senior Aquatics Director is also responsible for the supervision and operations of the North Kingstown Town Beach.
