Men's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's men's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire men's coaching staff. Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, athletic, and energetic person who loves teaching boys ages 5-15 in groups of 8 or less. Gymnastics experience is a PLUS, but not required; we can train you. As a Gymnastics Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching gymnastics skills and techniques to students of all ages and skill levels. Your role will involve creating a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and grow, while promoting physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork.
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to the needs of individual students
- Instruct students on proper gymnastics techniques, including floor & tumbling, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar
- Demonstrate exercises, providing clear instructions and guidance
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback on their performance
- Ensure the safety of all students by enforcing proper safety protocols and spotting techniques
- Manage class behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized gymnasium environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children or students in a coaching or teaching capacity
- Strong knowledge of gymnastics skills and techniques or willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively instruct and motivate students
- Ability to manage student behavior in a positive and supportive manner
- CPR/AED certification is preferred but not required
