Men's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's men's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire men's coaching staff. Being a Men's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Men's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Men's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging and age-appropriate activities for children in various disciplines such as physical education, basketball, football, soccer, baseball, and many other traditional and non-tradition sports/activities.
- Provide instruction and guidance to students to help them develop their skills and abilities.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate activities and events.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Experience teaching or coaching students in physical education, swimming, karate, martial arts, cheerleading, judo, or related disciplines.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with children.
