Membership Associate - Museum jobs in Florida

SUMMARY: The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is seeking part-time Membership Sales Associates. In this role, you will be primarily charged with promoting the sale of individual and family memberships to visitors to Frost Science, including encouraging daily ticket buyers to upgrade their ticket purchase to an annual membership. Sales activities will be conducted onsite, at the Museum entrance, and at the Membership Office.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• At least one year of floor-based retail sales or phone sales experience with a proven history of sales results
• Outgoing personality with the ability to approach museum guests in a friendly, engaging manner and explain the financial and programmatic benefits of purchasing a museum membership
• The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Availability on weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays as scheduling requires
• Fluency in English and Spanish

Minimum Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School diploma required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A higher level of education preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work will include time within an open office area, on the floor leading and participating in programs, and within the local community. Occasional exposure to outdoor activities may be requested. Weekend and evening work in alignment with programs is sometimes required.
