Processes subscriptions, membership applications, or member data changes. Being a Membership Assistant directs members to the resources to answer questions or provide requested information. Documents inquiries and interactions using a ticketing or customer relationship management (CRM) system. Additionally, Membership Assistant may draft correspondence and promotional communications or conduct outreach calling to solicit new members or promote events. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Membership Assistant works under moderate supervision. Skills:
- Proven experience in account management and sales, preferably in a membership-based organization
- Strong ability to perform outside sales activities, including cold calling and networking
- Proficiency in technology sales, with the ability to effectively communicate the value of digital products and services
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, as it will allow for effective communication with a diverse customer base
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and address member needs
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market data and identify trends or opportunities for business development
