Meeting/Event Planner jobs in South Dakota
Meeting/Event Planner plans and organizes live or virtual meetings and events for an organization or external clients. Implements an event strategy to achieve objectives. Being a Meeting/Event Planner researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Summary: The Mitographers, Inc. is currently seeking a full time Production Planner to join our growth focused, forward thinking organization.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Scheduling jobs
- Reserving materials
- Establishing a raw-goods inventory
- Maintaining the Printflow scheduling system
- Coordinating expedited jobs
- Developing job plans for maximum job efficiency and velocity
- Creating Letters of Quote
- Developing reporting methods
- Recommending job plan changes
Qualifications:
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong math skills
- Solid analytical skills to identify problems and opportunities
- Report-writing experience (preferred)
- Printing industry process knowledge (2-3 years preferred)
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and experience with ISO quality systems (preferred)
