This pivotal role involves monitoring customer load tenders through various channels such as EDI, web portals, email, and phone communications. Ensuring optimal fleet capacity for the region is essential for delivering exceptional service to our customers while maximizing fleet assets and company resources.

    Driver retention is a top priority for us. As a Load Planner, you will uphold a high standard of safety awareness and compliance while prioritizing exceptional customer service. Balancing driver earnings and providing adequate home time, especially over weekends, is crucial. Trip planning will vary depending on customer needs, seasonal demands, and business requirements.

    In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and timely service for our valued customers. Safety remains our utmost concern for our employees, customers, and the public. You will be expected to develop load plans that adhere to company policies regarding driver hours-of-service rules while meeting customer expectations for on-time delivery. The Regional Load Planner will exercise independent judgment when liaising with customers, brokers, carriers, vendors, and staff.

    Essential Functions:

    • Provide logistical support for terminal operations team.
    • Collaborate with Terminal Manager to effectively utilize fleet resources.
    • Maintain effective communication with the Operations team via various channels.
    • Ensure accountability for customer service and efficient utilization of fleet resources in the assigned region.
    • Ensure drivers have necessary equipment for safe cargo transportation in compliance with DOT regulations, company safety policies, and customer requirements.
    • Accurately complete required documentation for timely delivery to billing/payroll, administration, safety, human resources, and maintenance departments.
    • Attend and participate in mandatory training events and safety meetings.
    • Assist Operations team with special projects and coverage during vacations as needed.
