Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services.     Position Overview

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planner to join our precision manufacturing team. As a Machined Parts Planner at Precitech, you will play a pivotal role in the production process by meticulously planning the manufacturing of precision machined parts.

    You will collaborate with various teams to ensure efficient production scheduling, material procurement, and adherence to quality standards.

    Specific Duties

    • Develop comprehensive plans for the machining of precision parts considering factors such as production capacity, lead times, and resource availability.
    • Coordinate with procurement to ensure the timely acquisition of raw materials, tools, and components required for machining operations.
    • Generate and manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules in the ERP system.
    • Analyze inventory levels to ensure an appropriate balance between supply and demand. Utilize inventory management software to track usage, lead times, and forecast requirements.

    Implement strategies to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.

    • Continuously monitor and adjust production schedules to optimize workflow, minimize downtown, and maximize efficiency.
    • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. Stay informed about industry trends, geopolitical factors, and market dynamics that could impact supply.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, lead time reduction, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Work closely with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication across departments.
    • Plan outside vendor controls and ensure proper lead times of product leaving and entering the machine shop.

    Essential Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar type of environment
    • Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes including inventory control, materials requirements planning, item master, demand planning, and supply chain planning
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proactive : bias for action - a sense of urgency
    • Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
