    As a Lead Grants Management Specialist (Team Leader), you will:
    • Serve as Team Leader to Area Office (AO) Grants Management Division and utilize a wide variety of coordinating, coaching, facilitating, consensus-building and planning techniques to assist AO Division Team in completing assigned tasks.
    • Ensure Office of Native American Program's (ONAP) strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the AO Division Team and integrated in to team strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products.
    • Articulate and communicate team assignments, potential program issues/problems to be addressed, project milestones, and deadlines and time frames for completion. Coach AO Division Team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, and provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures.
    • Lead the AO Division Team in identifying, distributing and balancing internal workload among division staff in accordance to established workflow and skill level; make adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensure that each team member has an integral role in developing the final product.

    Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

    • Analyzing, evaluating and recommending solutions to policy and program issues; AND
    • Facilitating working relationships among culturally diverse groups that administer and/or have an interest in Indian housing and/or community development issues; AND
    • Reviewing grant applications and providing on-going technical assistance and training to grant recipients on program related issues.

    Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
