Overview: Busy Plaintiffs Personal Injury Law Firm seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prelitigation Medical Records Specialist and Demand Writer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and analyzing medical records, as well as crafting compelling demand letters to insurance companies and opposing parties.Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain, review, and summarize medical records from healthcare providers, including hospital records, physician notes, diagnostic test results, and billing information.
• Identify and extract key medical information, such as diagnoses, treatments, prognosis, and causation, to support legal claims.
• Prepare comprehensive medical chronologies and timelines to document the client's medical history and treatment.
• Conduct research to understand medical terminology, procedures, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals to develop effective legal strategies.
• Craft persuasive demand letters that outline the client's injuries, medical treatment, and damages, and make a compelling case for settlement.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation to support the legal process.
• Request and analyze Health Insurance Subrogation liens on relevant case related claims.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a medical records or legal support role, preferably in a prelitigation or personal injury setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex medical information into clear and persuasive language.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and interpret relevant medical information.
• Proficient in using medical and legal databases, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with personal injury law and insurance industry practices.
