Medical Technologist - Hematology performs a variety of blood tests, studies morphology of blood constituents and performs various coagulation tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Conducts technical procedures related to the counting and identification of blood cells and other specialized hematologic tests. Being a Medical Technologist - Hematology verifies accuracy of findings, identifies test inconsistencies, and takes appropriate action to make corrections and resolve problems. Operates, cleans, and maintains laboratory equipment used in blood analysis and procedures. Additionally, Medical Technologist - Hematology may perform urinalysis studies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Typically requires an American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification or its equivalent. May require a state license to practice. Medical Technologist - Hematology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. ECMC is a 19-bed critical access hospital in Ellsworth Kansas with four Rural Health Clinics in North Central Kansas.
The role of the Radiologic Technologist is to be a champion of patient care. This role is responsible for preparing and positioning patients for diagnostic x-ray & CT exams, administering and monitoring IV contrast administration, safely using all x-ray equipment to produce quality examinations & ensure that the study is complete for interpretation by the Radiologist. Must maintain good working relationships both within department as well as throughout the organization. Must be able to multitask and maintain skill level across multiple modalities as well as perform departmental patient screening and scheduling. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with ECMC policies, procedures, and guidelines. May also be required to run Ultrasound, C-Arm, MRI, and Hologic DEXA.

Certifications/Registrations: Currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Kansas. Maintains annual CPR certifications.
