Sage Hematology and Oncology is currently looking for AN ONCOLOGY TRAINED AND EXPERIENCED Certified Coder to join our team!

ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE IS A MUST FOR THIS POSITION.

OPEN TO PART TIME AND WORK FROM HOME APPLICANTS WANTING TO MAKE EXTRA INCOME FOR APPROX 1-2 HOURS DAILY FOR SINGLE PHYSICIAN OFFICE

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to use their expertise in oncology and hematology billing to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Job Description:

• Hematology and Oncology coding and billing experience is a must
• Enters all charges accurately in accordance with procedures
• Attention to detail, and ability to complete the job with no errors
• Ability to review payor policies related to Chemotherapy billing and reimbursement.
• Has a thorough understanding of ICD -10/HCPCS codes.
• Demonstrates effective communication with physicians to clarify diagnoses, procedures coding and documentation requirements.
• Ensures all charges are done daily.
• Review payer responsibility guidelines.
• Promptly and accurately code all services to the most accurate specificity and query providers when specificity was not indicated. Provide education and explanation to providers on coding and clinical documentation when necessary.
• Consult with physicians on coding when payors deny reimbursement of a claim.
• Communicate with nurses for accurate coding for documentation. Provide real-time feedback to procedural providers as it pertains to proper coding and clinical documentation of services performed.
• Interact and provides high-level analysis of all available reports to Manager, and Physician about Coding related issues.
• Contacts pharmaceutical and Insurance companies for updates and documentation efficiencies.
