Medical Technologist (ASCP) performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing. Being a Medical Technologist (ASCP) analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. Under the direction of the Radiologist and Imaging Director, the Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing radiology procedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Must be capable of performing all routine diagnostic procedures in radiology. May be responsible to perform QC as needed in assistance of the Lead.
Qualifications:
• Graduate from an accredited school or college program in Radiology Technology required.
• Current State of New Mexico licensure required.
• ARRT registered and certified with the State of New Mexico required.
• BCLS required.
• One-year experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
• Communication and organizational skills required.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude required.
