Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor oversees day-to-day activities of staff that process credentialing and recredentialing applications for medical providers. Ensures that applications are properly verified and accurately uploaded into an online credentialing database system. Being a Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor administers system for tracking license and certification expirations to ensure renewals are submitted in a timely fashion.     A Brief Overview

    This position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the credentialing, privileging of the SVH and Medical Services Division of Stormont Vail Health as directed.

    Education Qualifications

    High School Diploma / GED Required

    Experience Qualifications

    • 3 years Clerical experience. Required
    • 3 years Provider enrollment experience. Required
    • Experience with Microsoft office products including but not limited to; Excel, word, and PowerPoint. Preferred
    • Experience in meeting minutes. Preferred

    What you will do

    • Credentialing and privileging. Investigate and evaluate applications and report to the Lead Credentialing Specialist.
    • Meeting preparation, attendance, transcription of minutes and all other aspects of meetings.
    • Maintenance of OPPE, FPPE, expireables to include boards, licenses, protocols, and Emergency Department call schedule
    • Primary Source verification of non-medical staff practitioners who order tests and ancillary services.
    • Must demonstrate knowledge about established and evolving medical staff bylaws, regulatory requirements, privileging, OPPE / FPPE, governmental requirements (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.

    NCQA regulations and the application of this knowledge.

    • Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with superiors, co-workers, physicians, and customers.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all business / work and medical staff information.
