Responsibilities

• Ensure that the medical staff members have the proper credentials to work in a medical position.
• Coordinate the verification process with all aspects related to the credentialing of physicians and allied health professionals.
• Provide follow-ups as needed to complete the Appointment and Reappointment of the medical staff.
• Maintain working knowledge of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and Hospital policies.
• Interact and meet with potential medical staff candidates and assist the provider in completing the application process.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate Degree
• Two (2) years’ experience in healthcare credentialing with a working knowledge of NCQA
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
