Medical Staff Credentialing Director is responsible for all aspects of the verification process for medical staff incumbents. Provides regulatory oversight and guidance to the credentialing process. Being a Medical Staff Credentialing Director maintains working knowledge and ensures continuing compliance with state, federal, and institutional standards and guidelines. Develops and implements policies and protocols related to medical staff verifications and ensures that the organization and staff are in accordance with organizational and industry standards. Additionally, Medical Staff Credentialing Director analyzes reports on applications and credential status to identify trends and improve the credentialing process. Presents files to the credentialing committee and may act as a liaison to state medical licensure boards regarding the status of license applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). Typically reports to senior management. The Medical Staff Credentialing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Medical Staff Credentialing Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     What they are looking for:
    •Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field.
    •3-5 years of Medical Staff leadership experience.
     
    Hours and Compensation potential:
    •Position is full time.
    •The range is between $70K-$106K 
    •A full benefits package including sign on of 15K($2500 when start, $2500 end of 1st year, $5000 2nd year, $5000 3rd year). 
     
    What you will be doing:
    •Serves as the primary point of contact for and provide excellent customer service to members of the Medical Staff. 
    •This role is responsible for ensuring that the onboarding of Medical Staff members is flawless, and provider focused; overseeing on-call physician schedules; coordinating Medical Staff meetings; 
    developing and maintaining positive working relationships with medical staff providers at facilities as well as locum tenens and outreach providers. 
    •This position serves as the liaison between medical staff and the facility on issues related to patient care and operations. 
    •This position oversees the Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist to ensure that members of the Medical Staff are appropriately credentialed before granting Medical Staff Privileges. 
    •This position collaborates with the CEO to recruit qualified physicians and advanced practice providers for medical staff and assists and coordinates the development of strategic and comprehensive physician recruitment and retention plans in accordance with the needs and goal if the facility.
    •Oversees the student and residency rotation programs. 
    •Mediates, negotiates, and facilitates dispute resolution techniques for medical staff issues including employment contracts/agreements. 
    •This position also oversees the duties, functions, and growth of the outreach provider clinics.
