VSolvit is seeking the Secretary I candidate with an Active Secret Clearance. The ideal candidate will possess skills to perform clerical and secretarial duties requiring knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to US Navy.
This position requires an individual to interface with all levels of the command staff on base, and departments, divisions and others to ensure that responses to action items, data calls, information, or problem resolution are properly acted upon.
The position demands consistency of office operations by independently responding to many of the routine inquiries or ensuring that members of the staff provide support in response to technical tasks.
Additional duties may include screening incoming correspondence; personally responding to requests for information concerning office procedures;
determines which requests should be handled by the supervisor, appropriate staff member or other offices; making arrangements for conferences and meetings and assembles established background materials, as directed.

Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.
