Medical Secretary - Home Care jobs in Virginia
Medical Secretary - Home Care provides secretarial support to clinical staff in a home care environment. Performs various secretarial and clerical duties, such as typing reports and correspondence, transcribing written notes, maintaining records and files, answering phones, and arranging clinician schedules. Being a Medical Secretary - Home Care may be responsible for entering clinician charges into medical billing system. Requires knowledge of medical terms and vocabulary. Additionally, Medical Secretary - Home Care requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Secretary - Home Care possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. You'll help lead field staff in providing quality home care while increasing your office's caseload through long-term relationship building with clients, referral sources, payors and community organizations
potential clients calling our office for information on Zion Medical LLC's services
Basic computer and telephone skills
Patience and understanding to ensure we help our caregivers, our clients and our partners
Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):
Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
Ambulation/Transfers
Eating
Dressing/Shaving
Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathroom
Performs patient-specific activities that are taught by a Zion Medical LLC's nurse
Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
