Position Summary

The role of the Radiology Secretary reports to the Imaging Manager. This position is responsible for performing clerical and secretarial support duties associated with the efficient operation of all Imaging Services Departments.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties such as: answering telephones, distributing correspondence, and operating office equipment
• Monitor imaging services software systems and report issues, as required
• Oversee maintenance and distribution of imaging patient records

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma GED
• Licensure and Certifications: N/A
• Experience: Previous experience in a clerical support role, preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology as usually demonstrated through one year of previous medical office experience in a clinical setting, preferred.

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs, and positioning patients and equipment. This position spends 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position serves a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population. This position has exposure to communicable disease, body fluids and radiation.
