WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING :

• Create and review medical charts for accuracy and completion in accordance with practice guidelines.
• Navigate the facility computer system and electronic medical record (ECW)
• Assist in completing charts by transcribing results of patient and doctor consultations.
• Gain substantial knowledge in how to appropriately document patient history, physical exams, assessments, diagnostic results, medical procedures, treatment plans, medical opinions of consultants, diagnoses, medication / prescription information, and follow-up instructions
• Review past history and test results on patients which are critical in driving medical decisions by your provider
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned by the practice manager or physician.
• Provide patients with stress test, ECHO, venous duplex, arterial duplex, carotid duplex, and lab results
• Gain clinical experience by observing cardiology procedures including venous intervention, cardiac catheterizations with stent placement, pacemaker insertions, and cardioversions

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Has the ability to work in a fast-paced setting supporting multiple providers, nurses and team members
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
• A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and appropriate clinical pharmacology protocols for a medical assistant scope of practice
