Responsibilities

• Specializes in charting physician-patient encounters in real time, such as during medical examinations and/or procedures. 
• Performs basic documentation/communication skills, reporting patient conditions, circumstances, and maintaining equipment and unit cleanliness
• Responsible for performing functions as authorized under the direct supervision of various medical staff (MD, DO, APP, RN, LVN)
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Graduate from a medical assisting program or medical transcripition experience
• CPR Certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Experience working as a medical scribe
• Experience charting in an EMR
• Medical Terminology (i.e. Anatomy and Physiology)
