Established and successful orthopedic practice is looking to hire a self-motivated and enthusiastic, Medical Scribe. Cornerstone Orthopedic Institute is the premier location in Rio Grande Valley to receive orthopedic services. In addition to residents, the practice also serves patients from all over the western hemisphere who travel to seek the expert advice of our elite providers and prestigious and innovative patient quality care.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum one year experience in the health care industry preferred
• Hands-on experience with EMR systems required;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and all levels of staff
• Ability to actively listen
• Ability to observe and to draft a narrative account of events accurately, with proper spelling, and in grammatically-correct English
• Skilled at operating computers and related software applications, with excellent keyboard proficiency
• Strong attention to detail
• Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment
• Maintains strict confidentiality of patient information and office business practices

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Medical: 1 year (Preferred)
