Understands medical terminology and the use of transcription software and equipment. Being a Medical Records Transcriptionist requires a high school diploma. May require Registered Healthcare Documentation Specialist (RHDS). Additionally, Medical Records Transcriptionist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Records Transcriptionist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. What You’ll Do
We are looking for a PRN Transcriptionist for our Goshen Campus. This is an office-based position.
Primary duties:- Transcribe dictation accurately and load into patient electronic medical record.
- Provide clerical and technical functions and assistance to all Oaklawn staff.
- Typing, research, transcribing, data entry, auditing, customer service, safety coordination and resource to Oaklawn staff.
Customer Contact/Relationships:- Will interact with a variety of treatment professionals, Oaklawn staff, vendors, referral sources and visitors.
Requirements:- High School Diploma..
- One-year transcription experience preferred.
- Minimum requirement of medical terminology training and/or experience.
- Typing speed over 60wpm.
