Job Description :
PURPOSE OF JOB : Transcribes all physician dictations on patients registered at Doylestown Hospital meeting internal and external standards for quality and turnaround time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Transcribes dictation on patients registered at Doylestown Hospital meeting internal (Doylestown Hospital Medical Staff) and external (Joint Commission and PA Department of Health) standards for quality and turnaround time.
Has knowledge of dictation system functionality to assist Medical and Hospital staff with questions and to assure turnaround time from dictation to transcription.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of department equipment.

Education : High school diploma or equivalent
Experience : Six (6) months previous related experience preferred.
Other Skills : Typing skills - 60 wpm; word processing skills; knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
Computer : Must have excellent computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
