Medical Records Supervisor supervises routine medical record-keeping operations and healthcare information management to ensure secure, accurate, and reliable patient information management that complies with data and privacy regulations. Being a Medical Records Supervisor implements digital technologies and tools to gain efficiencies, facilitate record retrieval, and ensure secure storage. Provides training for medical records staff and information resources to end-users. Description
As our practice grows, we are seeking leadership to join our Medical Records/Health Information team. The Supervisor of Medical Records/HIM serves as a representative of the practice with a focus on optimizing the patient’s experience. The Supervisor is responsible for leading the HIM functions, allocating staff work responsibilities, and serving as a key resource with customer service issues. Finally, the Supervisor manages our vendor, who provides ROI and Forms processing services, and their integration with the department’s overall workflow.
This position is responsible for participating in the regular medical records workflow and assignments.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in our Stuart office.

Requirements
· Minimum two (2) years of Medical Records/HIM supervisory experience, management of vendor relationships strongly preferred
· Superior skills in customer service and team collaboration are required.
· Must be organized, detail-oriented, and willing/able to multi-task.
· Outstanding documentation, time management, and organizational skills.
· Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills, professionally representing the physician and practice.
· EMR/PM experience required.
Physical Demands:
· Primarily sedentary.
· Use of general office equipment – keyboard, telephone, scanner, copier.
· Periodic lifting, stooping, carrying less than 25 lbs.
