    Compass Oncology - Pacific Northwest's largest privately owned multi-clinic cancer care center - is looking for a Medical Records-Imaging Coordinator to join their team. An important part of the patient experience, the Medical Records Tech helps to maintain, protect, and distribute medical records for all four Compass clinics. A strong understanding of medical office operations, as well as high level of computer competency are desirable skills for this position. Experience in medical records and imaging is a plus!     Employment Type: Full-Time 40 Hours, M-F

    Location: Rose Quarter Cancer Center (Portland, OR)

    Salary Range: $17.80- $30.19 per hour

    ** Final offer amounts are determined by a review of the candidate's applicable experience and qualifications, as well as, internal employee equity considerations.

    JOB SCOPE:

    Under minimal supervision, assists with organizing, sorting, and filing all incoming and outgoing patient information. Prepares charts for patient visits. Files, locates, retrieves and delivers medical records as assigned. May orient, train, and assign the work of lower level employees. May be designated as the lead employee. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
    Responsibilities:
    Assists in preparing and filing all internal and external correspondence and medical reports into patients' electronic medical record according to filing system.

    Make requests, Copies, mails, and/or faxes patient chart information as requested and authorized, documenting all processes.

    Sends outgoing faxes and distributes incoming faxes.

    Answer all internal and external phone calls.

    Makes copies of dictated interval notes accordingly.

    Assists in purging deceased and inactive charts as scheduled and according to guidelines.

    Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation.

    Prepares correspondence, memos, forms and other typing as requested by supervisor.
    Qualifications:
    Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Qualifications:

    2 years' experience, preferably in a medical office setting

    Previous experience in a medical records experience preferred
