Duties:
- Retrieve, file, and maintain patient medical records in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient information in medical records
- Organize and maintain filing systems for easy retrieval of medical records
- Assist healthcare professionals in locating and accessing patient records as needed
- Scan and digitize paper documents into electronic medical record systems
- Follow privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Assist with record audits and quality assurance activities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation
- Answer phone calls
Skills:
- Proficiency in using medical office software and electronic medical record systems, HospiceMD preferred.
